I own a private Mandarin school, integrating Skirtter, any tips?

Petering   October 20th, 2014 10:50p.m.

Hi guys,

I own a private Mandarin school, I have about 40 students and growing (mix of adults and kids). I've used Skritter in my own studies.

I'm planing on getting all my students on Skritter now the android app is out. (Just waiting for an email back from the team with pricing)

My questions is, does anyone here take formal classes (Primary/high school, University or private class) that integrate Skritter?. So far I've only seen it used by solo studiers.

Does Skritter have any blogs or case studies about successfully using Skritter in a formal class?

Any other language school owners here who have used Skritter with their students?

Thanks everyone,

Josh

I succesfully used skritter during 2 semesters I spend at Peking University, clearly giving me an advantage compared to my other classmates.

I helped integrate Skritter into the Chinese program at the Defense Language Institute. The way we started was simply to have them train to a certain time, which was verifiable through the group functions (the military is big on completing homework exactly). We would assign a certain amount of time, say 10 minutes (of skritter time, not real time...big difference), and then gather feedback and check their results to see what areas gave them trouble. The most important part is to ensure they all have pleco and to show them all the various functions to prevent them from getting frustrated. If you have any questions, feel free to message me or ask further here.

HappyHippo, Thanks so much for your reply, this is the sort of information that I am looking for, that gives me a better idea.

If the Skritter team has anything to add, I am looking for any other examples.

As I start to implement skritter in the school I will have more questions and I'll also report on how I use it, maybe some others are also looking at implementing it?

(胡马林, I agree it's useful, now the shoe is on the other foot and I'm the teacher)
