Skritter on a Kindle?

读书人   March 18th, 2014 12:41a.m.

I'm thinking of getting myself a Kindle Paperwhite and noticed it has an experimental browser and amazon sells a stylus.

So has anybody been able to get Skritter working on a paperwhite?

If not, what sort of tablet would people recommend? (Given that my main reasons for buying a tablet would be reading books and using skritter)

I haven't heard of anyone getting Skritter to work on a Paperwhite, but I'm guessing it's going to be buggy, at best, if it's even able to load Skritter. We're finding that the HTML5 version of the site is working the best on Chrome, which I'm guessing is not the "experimental browser" that the Kindle is running.

I just got my hands on a Nexus 7 tablet from Google to start doing some bug fixes on the HTML5 app and will be sure to give a review of the tablet (and the new Skritter app) once I've had some time to load up Skritter and give it a go. The Nexus 7 is about $100.00 more than the Paperwhite (for the 16gb version), but I'm thinking that the ability to have Skritter as a native app might on the device might be worth the extra cost.

Stay tuned!

I have a paperwhite but it would be almost impossible for it to load skritter.

Maybe Kindle Fire??

Thanks for the responses.

Another question I should have asked earlier; is it possible to study offline with the Nexus 7 (or with any other tablet)?

It's not the same price range at all but the Skritter experience on an iPad is just fabulous. I haven't touched the web app since the iOS version has been released.
