Component study mode

Would it be possible to have a 'radical mode'? Or, more accurately, 'component mode'. So you'd enter a radical or character, e.g. 口, and only review words from your study with that component (吗, 吧, 嗨 etc.)

I sometimes think this would be extremely useful for learning the differences between various characters.

Not a bad idea. This could be accomplished manually by creating a custom list where each section contained only characters with a certain radical/component.

Yeah I was thinking that. But you'd end up adding loads of characters you don't want if it was a general list (those do already exist).

Yeah, as opposed to a special mode, I think it would be easy enough to create custom lists for words using a specific radical, once I get that lookup feature built. If it was fast enough, you could do it each time you wanted to deeply study a given radical.

Arch Chinese has done a good job on searching characters with a certain radical or component.

Characters with radical 口:

Seems like, if the lists exist (as it appears from sparky112's post, they do), you could just use the "add to Skritter" bookmarklet or function in the Zhongwen extension for Chrome to pick out what you want from those, or copy the whole thing and make a list out of it.

Just my two cents, though. I'm all for more options to expand one's vocabulary within Skritter, but it doesn't seem like it should be a priority.
