Shanghai Normal University

Has anyone been to Shanghai Normal University ? If so, can you what the campus was like, and what the area near the campus is like ?

I'm thinking about going there for a master's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language.

According to google maps it's near Shanghai South Bus/Train stations yep?

I don't know about the campus, but the area around the campus is bound to be quite grey, generic chinese. I've only been around the bus/train station so I'm not sure. It's not a central area, but it's not super super far out. You're around 4 stops on the metro from Xujiahui which has all the computer bits. 5 stops from Hengshanlu which has bars and things, 9 stops (25 min?) from People's Square/Nanjing lu.

The university isn't in quite a good position as say Jiaotong's old campus, but some are much much further out (eg, Jiaotong's new campus).
